Brandy Set To Receive Humanitarian Award at Pure Heat Vision Community Festival [Black Pride: Atlanta, GA]

Atlanta, GA – The Pure Heat Community Festival showcases the different meaning of pride with unity. Composed of volunteers committed to bringing awareness of a diverse community impacted by HIV/AIDS, Environment Protection, Youth Mentorship, Education & Career Advancement, Women’s Health & Wellness, and Homelessness the Pure Heat Community Festival is a front seat into the largest gathering of minority LGBT people and allies in the nation.

The festival is a collaboration with Bishop Oliver Clyde Allen, III’s (Senior Pastor of The Vision Church of Atlanta) “Vision Community Foundation”. Every year, the foundation honors a special national entertainer who is doing extraordinary work in the LGBT community. This year the festival will honor music superstar, Brandy.

Brandy will make a special appearance at Piedmont Park (Atlanta, GA) , September 1, 2013 at 7:00PM to receive this years humanitarian award presented by the Vision Community Foundation. Taj George from super-group SWV will host this year’s festival and slated to make guest appaerances on the stage include: LaTavia Roberson, Tiffany Evans, D. Woods, Jade Novah, Meelah, Maia Campbell and new act Pure Sky. The festival will also welcome a host of independent acts, impersenators, gospel showcases and more!

Equipped with Market and Food Vendors, a hair show, sponsor moments, community forums, giveaways, performers and; a world re-noun artist, the day of unity brings together a collective spirit of community. The Pure Heat Community Festival is a front seat into an awesome gathering of minority LGBT people and allies in the nation.
