Music is not the only thing Brandy and Monica are collaborating on. Following the release of their first record in 14 years, the former rivals are eyeing a joint tour for the summer.
Monica shared the news during an interview with Hot 93.7’s Jenny Boom Boom. “We’re dedicated to a tour in the summer,” she revealed.

“Behind The Music: Brandy” will chronicle the Grammy Award-winning artist from her days as young girl singing in her church choir to flourishing into a successful musician and actress. It will also follow Brandy’s trials and tribulations, both personally and professionally, and illustrating how she re-emergered as a dynamic, hit-making musical recording artist with a successful acting career. At the tender age of 18, Brandy found herself dealing with the high costs of fame, maintaining her “perfect” image, all the while balancing her career as a musician and coping with the pressures of starring in her hit TV series “Moesha.”
Brandy spent the evening of her 33rd birthday in tears. Earlier that afternoon, the singer and actress’ longtime inspiration and mentor Whitney Houston passed away suddenly at the age of 48.
Though Brandy attended Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammys bash, the somber star told Us Weekly she “really wanted to perform” that night, “but , I’m in a bad space right now.”
On Monday, Brandy decided to publicly pay tribute to the six-time Grammy Award winner, and released this statement to Us Magazine.
“My heart is destroyed. I lost my idol and dear friend. My prayers go out to Whitney’s family and her millions of fans around the world. Whitney — the greatest voice of all time — you are my angel and I will always and forever love you.”

Brandy and Monica are reuniting and it feels so good. The ladies linked up at Thursday’s rehearsals for Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala at the Beverly Hilton, where they performed their 1998 classic “The Boy Is Mine” and new collaboration “It All Belongs to Me.” Even Whitney Houston showed up to lend her support ahead of Saturday’s big event honoring Sir Richard Branson.
Afterwards, they sat down with legendary music executive Clive Davis to discuss reuniting after 14 years, their new Rico Love-produced song, and upcoming albums.
