Brandy Performs & Interviews on CBS’ THE TALK

Brandy visits “The Talk@Home” Monday and discusses her daughter, Sy’rai’s singing and their upcoming duet.

“It’s my job to teach her everything that I know about this business and about singing. You know, and at the same time give her the space to find her own sound, her own path and just be here in the wings whenever she needs me.”

On her and her daughter collaborating, she adds, “I have a song with her on my upcoming project. It’s called ‘High Heels.’ I can’t wait to share it with everybody.”

Brandy also discusses working with Chance the Rapper on their single “Baby Mama.” “I’m a huge fan of Chance the Rapper. I think he’s an amazing rapper and amazing artist. I loved that he was all about his family. This is such a family song, you know, celebrating others. And he just blessed the song.” On her new “b7” album, Brandy’s first in eight years, she says, “This is one of my most personal, honest albums to date. I’m so proud of it because I got the chance to really dig deep and write a lot of the songs.”
